5 Things That Create A Peaceful Life

We live in a world that is full of heartache, pain, strife, and confusion.
That being said, we can easily become overwhelmed and filled with anxiety if we are not careful to remember that no matter what, God is in control.

One of the greatest gifts that God has blessed us with is the ability, to live in a state of peace no matter our circumstance.
Sometimes when we are in the midst of our storm we forget that peace is available to us. It is easy to look at our problems instead of looking upward to God.

Today I would like to share the 5 things that create a peaceful life. Hopefully, they will give you guidance for those days when worry, stress and anxiety seem inevitable. Remembering to check yourself in these 5 areas will give you strength and peace for your journey. Remember you never walk alone.
1. Pray and Praise.
Prayer is how we communicate and share our hearts with God, and praise is when we express our appreciation for who He is. Our gratitude for what He has done in our lives is also an expression of our praise to Him. When we pray and praise God, we are acknowledging His place of authority in our lives, and we are also acknowledging that we are powerless to help ourselves apart from Him. Reliance on God helps us to live less stressful lives. God is always our only source of peace and joy.

2. Entrust Your Burdens To God.
When we cast our cares and burdens on Him we are saying, Lord, this is too much for me to carry alone. There is no problem that we could ever encounter that would be too big for God, or that would exhaust His supply. There is also no problem so small, that He does not care how we are affected by it. Trust your problem to God’s care. His outcome will be whatever is best for you.

3. Accept God’s Will For Your Life.
There are many times, that if it were left up to us, we would choose a different outcome for our lives. God knows what we need. He also had a plan and a purpose in creating us. When we stay within His will, it keeps us on the track that lines up with His purpose for our lives. When we allow Him to guide us according to His holy and perfect will, we will always be at peace with the end results.

4. Be Content.
Contentment is defined as a state of being happy and satisfied, ease of mind. I particularly like the phrase ease of mind, because when we are Content our minds are not in a state of worry, anxiety, or stress. To be content is to be at peace. Paul said that he had learned to be content in every situation and that should be our goal.

5. Have An Eternal Perspective
Eternal Perspective. When life becomes difficult to remind yourself that this is not our home. We are just traveling through. When we have an eternal perspective we also have a fresh hope and an expectation of something greater that is to come. We won’t allow momentary afflictions to discourage us so easily. We can look joyfully to the future because we know as Christians; the best is yet to come. This certainly gives me comfort and peace. What about you?
