A SURPRISE AT GRADUATION

Psalm 32:8 (NLT)
⁸The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.

Deuteronomy 31:6-8 (NLT)
⁶So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord, your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”⁷Then Moses called for Joshua, and as all Israel watched, he said to him, “Be strong and courageous! For you will lead these people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors he would give them. You are the one who will divide it among them as their grants of land. ⁸Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

This past Mother’s Day weekend my husband and several of our family members attended our daughter’s College Graduation Ceremony. As you can imagine there were so many other proud parents as well that had come to witness their children being acknowledged for their academic achievements. The air was filled with nothing but excitement as everyone sat with great anticipation of seeing their child walk in as part of this 2017 graduating class.

A TRIBUTE TO DAD’S

Psalm 127:3(NKJV)
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.
5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Proverbs 17:6 (NKJV)
6 Children’s children are the crown of old men, And the glory of children is their father.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (NKJV)
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Just as God loved us so much that He sacrificed His Son, and His Son willingly sacrificed His life for us, so our dads express their love for us through sacrifice each and every day.
