Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLV)
18 “Do not remember the things that have happened before. Do not think about the things of the past. 19 See, I will do a new thing. It will begin happening now. Will you not know about it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for well-being and not for trouble, to give you a future and a hope.

Proverbs 16:3 (TPT)
Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself.[a]

Then every plan you make will succeed.

It is said that, when you have 20/20 vision, you have perfect vision. My question for you as we enter the year 2020 is:  How is your vision?  Have you prayed and consulted with God, before randomly setting the goals that you want to achieve this year?  Are you crystal clear on your purpose for this New Year?  And most importantly, is your vision for the year correctly, and precisely aligned with God’s vision and purpose for your life.

Only by spending time with Him, will you know what His vision for your future is. As you draw closer to Him, bit by bit, He will begin to unfold His plan for your life.  It is only through spending time with Him that you will know, if your vision for your future, aligns with His vision for your future.
Take a moment to pray, journal, and to give praise to God.  Just be still before Him. Then simply ask; Lord what is your vision for my life for this year, and how do I proceed?  Ask Him to guide you and instruct you on the path that you should take. Ask Him to reveal a plan that helps you to achieve the goals that He has laid on your heart, that have stirred a passion within you.  Don’t expect to hear from him audibly, but do expect to hear from Him.  Pay attention to everything.  God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform.  Stay open and allow Him to reveal things to you in His way, and in His time.  Don’t try to box God in or limit Him with small thinking.  He can dream a much bigger dream for us, than we could ever dream for ourselves.  Please don’t get impatient, or you will miss what He plans to do through you.  If you don’t hear from Him in the first two weeks of January, it’s OK, don’t panic! He is working it all out.  Just stay the course, keep the faith.

Please hear me clearly, I definitely recommend that you set goals, and that you are constantly seeking to improve yourself.   However, to become the best version of you that is possible, you must consult with the one who created you.  Don’t lean on your own understanding, seek His wisdom.   Strive for excellence in everything that you attempt this year, and where you fall short God will be there to carry you through.

I would like to encourage you, to set a spiritual goal to abide in God’s Word every day, to refuel your soul.  Make 2020 the year that you not only take care of yourself spiritually,  but also take care of yourself physically, by eating healthy foods, exercising and drinking more water and getting the proper amount of sleep.  When you do this, you will be healthier, and you will be more energized to do a greater service for God and for humanity.

Make this the year that you also become a great steward of your financial blessings, and other opportunities that God will bring your way.

In 2020 seek to live your life with 20/20 vision, on purpose, for purpose, and seeing it all clearly through the eyes of God.

Purposeful living will demand, that you don’t squander your time away.  We must protect every precious moment that God gives to us, by being a good steward of our time as well.  Live every second to its fullest, even in your times of rest, rest well!   Do everything with excellence.  Notice, I did not say live a life of perfection, but excellence.  We can all strive to have excellence as our new standard of living.

Have a Joyful and a Happy New Year!
May God bless you with clear vision of His purpose throughout the entire 2020 year!

 Yes, make our efforts successful!
