Living In Uncertain Times
Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

So much has happened recently in our country.  We have seen things changing with our economy, as well as the stock market plummeting and people losing their jobs.  There is no doubt that we are living in uncertain times.  I know that these are the kinds of conditions that can cause fear and anxiety and even a loss of hope for some.
But this is what I know for sure.  The Bible says that our God does not sleep or slumber. He sees it all, and nothing about what is happening in our world right now is a surprise or shock to Him.  Believe me when I tell you that He will protect and provide for His children.
 Always remember that our job as Christians is simply to trust and have faith that He will work it all out in His time.  The how is up to Him.  We must always, no matter the circumstances, keep our focus on God.  He is our source of all that is good.  He can restore the years that the locust has eaten away.
So you may be asking how will I make it through this season of economic turmoil?  My answer to you is on your knees and in God’s Word, and simply by taking one day at a time.   This is when we exercise our faith muscles, and through this process, I know in my heart we will see the salvation of the Lord!

Be sure to make praise a part of your daily routine, and although your circumstances may not change right away, your perspective will.  Be blessed and be encouraged, God is with us and He is not sleeping!

you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you,
“You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”;
10 fear not, for I am with you;  be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
