The Blessings Of Christ Birth
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, I would like to share just a few of the blessings that came with His birth. I thought of five wonderful blessings right away, and they are Love, Joy, Hope, Peace, and Forgiveness.
These are the things that really make His birth special.
God unselfishly sent His son, to sacrifice His life, so that we would have all of these things made available to us. All he asks is that we believe upon son Jesus Christ, and accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
So this Christmas as you sit and open your gifts with family and friends, think of Him, the ultimate gift. When you gather to eat your Christmas meal, remember that He came into this world, that you may have life, and have it more abundantly. What more could we ask for?
What has His love, joy, hope, peace, and forgiveness meant to you personally? I want to encourage you to take a few minutes on Christmas Day and write down what these five things have meant to you personally. It is a great way to spend time with God, by reflecting on the joys of being a Christian. It is also a great way to remember just how special His birth is to you. The blessings of His birth are not just experienced on Christmas Day, but every day. It is definitely the gift that keeps on giving. Yes, every single day we are impacted by His love, joy, hope, peace, and His forgiveness. So no matter what happens in your life, remember you are still blessed beyond measure. Only God could provide these wonderful blessings that continue to give.
I hope that you have a Merry Christmas! May God continue to richly bless you, as you experience daily the evidence of His love for you. Remember, there is no greater gift!
The Blessings Of Christ Birth
Love
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
1st John 4: 9-11
9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Romans 8: 37-39
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2: 4-5
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
Psalms 136: 26
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
Lamentations 3:22-23
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Joy
1st Peter 1:7-9
7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Nehemiah 8:10
10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Psalm 16:11
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you; in his love, he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Hope
For the present and the future.
1st Peter 1:13
13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.
Colossians 1:27
27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Psalm 33:18
27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Ephesians 1:18
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
Peace
Ephesians 2:14-18
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
John 16:33
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 4:8
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Isaiah 55:5
Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.”
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Forgiveness
Isaiah 43:25
“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake and remembers your sins no more.

Ephesians 4:32
32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Jeremiah 31:34
No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord.
“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
Ephesians 1: 7
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
Psalm 103:12
as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
