Proverbs 31: 26 –
She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness

Part II

Ladies we have the ability to use our words to create joy in our homes. Our words set the tone for our family’s day. I am sure you have heard the expression, “If momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy”. This quote usually gets a chuckle because we all can relate and we all know that it is so very true.

You see when we are in a happy mood and speaking encouraging words to our families, they get off to a great and happy start. Now on the flip side, I have noticed I am sorry to say from personal experience that if I am grumpy and shout with my family they tend to mirror back to me those same words, feelings, and attitudes.

I can go to my husband and speak encouraging words to him and all of a sudden he can conquer the world or he thinks he can anyway. Likewise we can create confidence in our children by the words we choose to bless them with. The words we choose to use become the actions that follow, because we are creating what we are speaking. It is especially important to watch the words we speak before our children, although they may appear to be on the floor playing with their little toys, they are not only listening, they are learning. This is just a friendly reminder to choose your words wisely, because they really do matter.

Allow your words to bless the heart of another. This week see if you can think back to a time in your life when someone spoke great things into your life that you still remember and are still benefiting from. Please send me your story. I would love to hear the words that blessed your life.

Mordecai encourages Ester with his words.

Esther 4:13-14-

13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
