Overwhelmed
Psalm 142:3 (NLT)
3 When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn.
Wherever I go, my enemies have set traps for me.
Psalm 61:1-2 (NLT)
1 O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!
2 From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help
when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety,
Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Psalm 28:7 (NLT)
7 The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by all of the things that you needed to do? Maybe you are like me and from time to time you take on way too many things, and then become frustrated when there is no spare time to just breathe.
The more that I talk to people, the more I realize that we are living in a world where people are simply over overcommitted and stressed to the max.
